Warden/Concierge
The wardens/concierges we employ at Quantum 50+ are bilingual and trained in several
capacities related to healthcare and personal skills. The main duties of a warden are to
arrange doctor and hospital visits, collect prescriptions, provide administrative support,
carry out daily well being and home watch checks, provide a translation service between
residents and third party providers and to act as a general point of contact for family
members.
Indoor medical alarms
Indoor medical alarms provide assistance to residents throughout the home. Buttons are
strategically placed according to the needs of the individual and systems can be
personalised for residents with specific disabilities. The medical alarms are connected
directly to a central office managed by local English nurses who are trained to act
accordingly depending on the type of emergency.
Translations on the resort
Your personal warden at the resort will be on hand to translate for you during office
hours.
Translations over the phone
Residents are provided with a telephone number to call for assistance in translation and
for general help. The number is accessible at all times preventing any potential language
barrier problems
Translations outside of the resort
The resort employs a number of qualified
translators who will accompany you anywhere
you want to go both inside and outside of the
resort.
Skype tele-conferencing
We understand the importance of keeping in
touch with friends and family while living
overseas. Therefore we provide free
introductory Skype teleconference courses and
on-going support in case you run into
technical difficulties.
Transport
Huercal Overa town is only 4-minutes away from the resort by car, although
unfortunately there is no public bus vailable from the resort. However, our taxis charge
under 6 Euros (less if shared) for a return trip to town. From town, there are buses
covering routes to all major cities and airports.
Additional daily living support services
Extra daily living support services can be arranged
through the warden office from our list of carefully
selected ssociates or with any other specialist you
might prefer. All services are available at standard
hourly rates or/and per completed service.
